Ubicada a dos kilómetros después del pueblo de Alausí y rodeada de un verde en diversas tonalidades. En un valle donde el verde predomina a pesar de las condiciones cambiantes del clima.
Aquí es donde nace la vida de animales, plantas y un gran ambiente con la naturaleza. Lleva por nombre Granja Rivadeneira.
Justo aquí vive Victor, el americano de nacimiento y de padres Ecuatorianos. El menor de los hijos, el granjero y el amo de este lugar.

Victor lives right here, American and Ecuadorian birth parents. The youngest son, the farmer and the master of this place.

Victor recibe a voluntarios viajeros inscritos en workaway para colaborar con trabajo en la granja. A cambio de esto nos ofrece tres comidas por día y un cuarto compartido con seis personas.
Son seis horas de trabajo diario, durante cinco días, los escenarios son muchos. Se puede trabajar en el campo, como en la cocina o en el cuarto, haciendo limpieza, sembrando y dando de comer a los animales. El fin de semana es para descansar y conocer los lugares cercanos.
Durante los días de trabajo la cocina está a cargo de Victor, el cocina, prepara y mantiene los alimentos listos para nuestro disfrute. Casi todos los días la comida es fruto de la siembra en la granja, los alimentos son frescos y recién cortados del huerto. Pero también se pueden compartir recetas típicas del país de donde seas. Yo estuve preparando por varios días comida mexicana para todos. La oportunidad de poder hacer esto, es que también puedes aprender diversos platillos de todo el mundo.
Victor receives volunteers enrolled in workaway to work with farm work. In exchange offers three meals a day and a shared room with six people.

I spent several days preparing Mexican food for everyone. The opportunity to do this, is that you can also learn different dishes from around the world.
La ventaja de estar rodeado de un lugar con tanta naturaleza es que puedes relajarte y conectarte contigo mismo, de ahí resulta la inspiración y la energía para todo el día. El contacto con la música también es de gran ayuda, aquí se trabaja todo el tiempo con música, Victor tiene una amplia lista de reproducción que los distintos mochileros van dejando en este lugar. Si traes tus instrumentos puedes estar seguro que vas a pasarla muy bien aquí.
The advantage of being surrounded by nature in such a place is that you can relax and connect with yourself, hence it is the inspiration and energy for the entire day. The contact with the music is also a big help, here all the time working with music, Victor has extensive playlist that different backpackers are leaving here. En la granja se cultiva una gran diversidad de alimentos, como lechuga, espinaca, maíz, choclo, limón, tomate de árbol, aguacate, entre otros más. También se produce café y se crían gallinas para la obtención de huevos, así como para venta. Hay un perro y un gato, también un pareja de ganzos y un pavo.
The farm produced a big variety of foods, such as lettuce, spinach, corn, corn, lime, tree tomato, avocado, among others grown. Coffee is also produced and chickens for obtaining eggs are raised, also for sale. Also there's a dog and a cat and a couple of geese and a turkey.
Tuve la oportunidad de poder conocer muchas personas en todo el mes que estuve en la granja. Pude trabajar con Alberto un señor indígena que habla quechúa y aprender un poco de su trabajo. Llegué siendo un extraño y a una nueva aventura, hoy me toca partir hacia otra parte de mi viaje, pero llevo conmigo un gran recuerdo y una gran amistad con el que puedo considerar hermano de nombre Victor. Tambíen conocí una nueva familia de amigos de Inglaterra, Alemania, Australia, Hong Kong y Venezuela.
Esta es la mejor parte de mi viaje hasta ahora, Gracias Victor por tu enseñanza y gracias madre naturaleza por todo lo que me diste en este mes.
I had the opportunity to meet many people throughout the month I was on the farm. I meet Alberto an Indian man who speaks Quechua and I can learn a little of their work. I came as a stranger and a new adventure, now I have to leave for another part of my journey, but I carry a great memory and a great friendship with which I take brother named Victor. I also met a new family of friends from England, Germany, Australia, Hong Kong and Venezuela.
This is the best part of my trip so far, Thanks Victor for your education and thank mother nature for all you gave me in this month.
